Hi.

I want to use a database for a Wordpress installation.

My account is activated and I am able to login from phpMyAdmin.

The host server I used in wp-config.php is 'db4free.net'. However the installation reports "Error establishing a database connection".

I created a simple script to see if the database is active, it reported the following error: "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'db4free.net' (13)".

My hosting provider is Hostvision (Romania).

Any ideas what I am doing wrong or is there anything blocked?

there is nothing blocked from db4free.net's side.

Since db4free.net is considered a test environment, you should be warned regarding using db4free.net for a production website. There is no guarantee for anything.
